Welcome to Hobby Economist: Greetings from Razib Ahmed

Warm welcome to Hobby Economist Blog. It will be a blog about Economy and Business and at the same time, it will be my profile as a writer, blogger and researcher.

I am Razib Ahmed, the blogger of this blog. At this moment, I am a full time blogger and I write mainly in SouthAsiaBlog.com (SAB). Well, I started SAB as a blog on South Asian Business and Economy and it got some good response within a short time. It has Page Rank and in the last 7 months, received more than 330,000 page views. What happened is that after 5 months, I don’t know what happened to me. I wanted to cash in on the quality of the blog and as a result, started writing on sports and entertainment related issues. It still gets good traffic- for example, in the last 7 days, nearly 8000 visitors came. However, I lost my satisfaction because this way, I became more addicted to getting visitors than writing about the topics I dreamt. So, I felt the need of opening a blog that would reflect my skill as a writer and researcher.

Against this background, I am starting Hobby Economist Blog. Well, here I like to mention you that I stated a blog in Blogger or Blogspot with the same name: http://hobbyeconomist.blogspot.com/. I felt the need of my own domain and thus, I am going to start this blog. Another important thing is that I am a fan of WordPress platform as it makes it easier for people to comment more than Blogger platform.

Anyway, I am Razib Ahmed and I am now a full time blogger. I wanted to be a journalist and scholar or academician. In the end, I ended up being a blogger for earning money livelihood. If you want to know more about me then you can visit the following links:
