Child Obesity in USA: Who is Responsible?

Child Obesity is becoming a ticking time bomb. There is a generation growing in which nearly 10% are either obese or on the verge of it. It is already causing a lot of problem for the US healthcare system. So, I guess that after 10-15 years, it will cost the healthcare industry billions of dollars. Well, the main problem is that most people are not yet concerned about it. There is no control on the fast food industry either.

All the time, children are watching advertisements of unhealthy foods in TV and there is no argument that fast food, chocolate, cookies and ice cream may be are unhealthy but they are very attractive. I think that the problem is in the culture. Family system is breaking up and many children are now becoming lonely. Food is the ultimate comfort for many lonely people.

I feel that you should read this report of LA Times: What is to blame for child obesity?

Something should be done as early as possible.
