Ford and Geely have been able to reach an agreement on Volvo cars. Ford now owns it and is going to sell it to Geely of China. So, now, we will have to wait for signing of the deal that is most likely to place in any time in the first quarter of 2010. The whole process take until the middle of 2010. There is no official comment about the price that Geely would have to pay but there is some reports that it may be as high as $2 billion.
With this purchase, Geely will become more visible in the international area.
